Savytel launches VoIP Broadband Services in US and Canada

The launch date for the services has been set for Jan 16, 2005 for its friendly customers. The date for its general commercial launch is set for Jan 20, 2005.

VoIP technology allows to make and to receive phone calls through an Internet (IP) connection where the voice stream is broken into packets and sent over the IP network. Broadband VoIP services, requiring a Broadband Internet connection such as DSL, cable or office LAN, provide a quality of voice indistinguishable from the traditional phone service providers at a fraction of the prices charged by the traditional phone service providers.

Savytel VoIP Broadband services provide its users to receive and make calls to all destinations in USA and Canada as well as to global destinations at strongly discounted prices. The subscriber can choose from 3 residential plans (Residential Basic Silver, Residential Unlimited Gold and Residential Unlimited Platinum) and 2 business plans (Business Basic Silver, Business Unlimited Gold). A Linksys PAP2 Phone Adapter is offered free with the subscription of any plan and will be shipped to its customers pre-configured. In addition, more than 15 features are also offered free, including Call ID, Voice Mail, Call Waiting, 3-Way Conference Call and Call Transfer.

Initially, the services will be offered in US and Canada. With the rapidly growing availability of DSL and cable Internet connection worldwide, Savytel is aiming to offer the services beyond North America.
